About me
Moises Garcia is a high school mathematics teacher and ethnomathematician whose work centers on rooting math in students’ communities, histories, and identities. With over 20 years of teaching experience, he designs learning experiences that connect rigorous mathematics to culture, art, data, and lived experience. His goal is to help students see mathematics not just as something to learn, but as something that already lives within their communities.
