About me
Dr. Katey Arrington is the President of NCSM: Leadership in Mathematics Education and the Director of Systemic Transformation at the Charles A. Dana Center at the University of Texas at Austin. She leads national, state, and district level initiatives to improve STEM education for all students. Previously, she served as the Associate Director of the UTeach Institute, the hub for STEM teacher preparation programs across 56 higher education institutions across the nation. She has served as a mathematics coordinator for a growing, diverse district in Texas, an instruction coach, and has taught in both K-12 and community college systems. Katey earned a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Planning, Master of Arts in Mathematics Education, and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She has extensive experience in leading networks and designing and implementing system-level change for increasing equitable outcomes.
