About me
Brooke Powers is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Development at Open Up Resources, where she works to expand access to high quality instructional materials and build partnerships that help more students experience meaningful learning. A former middle school math teacher and district leader, Brooke is known for connecting research, practical classroom experience, and a healthy dose of pop culture to challenge the way educators think about teaching and learning.
A nationally recognized speaker, Brooke has presented at conferences including NCTM, NCSM, CMC, TODOS, and HIVE. Her sessions blend humor, storytelling, and practical strategies that educators can immediately put into practice. Whether she's exploring leadership through Ted Lasso, challenging myths about joyful learning, or helping educators rethink curriculum implementation, Brooke's goal is always the same: to spark conversations that lead to better outcomes for students and teachers.
Brooke believes the best professional learning leaves people thinking differently long after the session ends. She is passionate about helping educators create classrooms where every student has access to rigorous, joyful learning and every teacher feels empowered to make a lasting impact.
